3 granddaughters Birthday celebrations!

On Sunday the 23rd of May, I was able to sneak away for the day over to Port Angeles to help 3 granddaughters celebrate their birthdays! These pics are in just the opposite order that I wanted them to be... lol.. but oh well, here we go. Always fun to get together with family. My 13 year old granddaughter with her 9 month old cousin... he has the cutest head of curls!
Time to eat!

Always grandma's little princess!!
Was wonderful that my brother and his grandson, my grandnephew could join us. Jacob and my grandson, Carson are good friends, so an added bonus for them! :)
Another grandson getting tired with his cousin, one of the birthday girls!

Always my monkey!!! Love this kid!!!!! He is so much like his dad... and except for the dark hair, he really does remind me of his daddy when he was little. Miss those days!!!! lol
Finally the twins get a chance to open their presents!!!!

My brother, well maybe I used to call him my bother!

Anxiously anticipating the time to open up her goodies!

Believe me, this is the girls acting normal!!! I love them!
This was cuz mom said BEHAVE!!! hahaha A fun day. Papa Doug couldn't be there because his mom was in the hospital and he was missed. We did have a good time together, albeit tooooo short of a time! Looking forward to the next get together! LOL Blondie turned 11 and the twins turned 8!

With Loving Thoughts

It has been a rough May and June around here. Just before Mother's Day we found out that Doug's mom had a mass in her lungs. A CT scan was taken and then the Friday after Mother's day a biopsy was taken. Before the biopsy results could even make it back, she ended up in the hospital. She never made it out again and on the 26th of May, Carly Weymouth, much loved by her family passed away into the presence of our Lord. She lived a full and happy life living to be 94 1/2 years old. She is loved and she is missed! This is the last picture taken of her on Mother's day this year. She wasn't feeling well but we all were able to make it up at different times in the day to visit with her. :)

We are thankful for the time we spent with her and so thankful to Hospice who helped make the transition peaceful. Both her sons and her husband were with her at 4:25 AM when she took her last breath... Although we grieve, we know that she is in a far better place and watching down in love. Now we help George pick up the pieces and move on with his life....... We all shared some special and loving moments as we spent time with her in the hospital during the last days. One that will forever be etched in my mind was of her grandson, 40, loving feeding her ice cream. it was the last thing she ate before she faded away. It was such a tender and special memory.

Vienna's 4th and Sterling's 2nd birthdays!

In the midst of all that has been happening... this birthday occurred. The first weekend of May we traveled over to Port Angeles to help my granddaughter celebrate her 4th birthday and her brother celebrate his 2nd birthday!!! This is the doll that I made for her... without a dress because I messed it up and didn't have time to fix it! .... It is getting fixed....
Everyone had fun!
The theme was a jungle theme, so many of my grandchildren dressed up for the occasion!

Even dad got into it... not sure what or who he was though! lol

This is all the grands gathered together! :)

Cousins!

THe birthday lion.
The birthday boy... in black and white.. but not a zebra.... lol

My Dancing Diva

My 4 year old granddaughter got this tutu for her birthday from her aunt. She later went into her brother's room, cued up the music and danced away. :) This is part of what I saw caught on tape! :)

Our Pets!

This is our dog! What a character he is. Last night "Pa" was already asleep in bed when I went into wash and get ready for bed. I shut the bathroom door so as not to disturb him. When I came out, here is the sight that greeted me! lol Please note that my buddy is NOT cuddled up with Pa but definitely waiting for me! HAHA.... He is a sweetie! Moments like this make having a pet priceless! :)

Craft Sale

My daughter got a booth at the park in Orting yesterday for the Daffodil Parade. Last minute decision but I went ahead and put out my bookmarks and bib clips along with her hair bows and Avon products. She did very well! Her bows are darling. I am going to make up some headbands for her to match for another time. Although it was a beautiful looking day, it was cold and windy!! We didn't have a canopy so this grandma got pretty chilled to the bone! I flaked out (I had the dog and he is to wild (friendly) around people) and left early. But it was fun and with more time and props the next one should be even more fun. It is always fun just to watch the people! :) You can see many of her bows on her blog, Iddy Bits of Love. I hope you will check it out! She does a beautiful job and she makes them special order to match! She has updated her blog so that you can actually order the bows from her there. A color chart is included to get the combination that you desire. Also if you send her a picture of a specific outfit that you desire to match, she will do her best to custom make a match for you! Make her your "Bow Lady!" You won't be sorry!
