These are my tree peonies. I just love them! They are always so beautiful! I had to pick them yesterday as they don't last long and they live even shorter if it rains which it did this morning! I have them in my breakfast nook and I can smell them thru the kitchen into my family room.

For Today... Monday, May 11, 2009
Outside My Window... cloudy, sprinkles of raindrops, a new bird out looking for worms in my back yard.
I am thinking... how blessed I am for the children God has given me and the grandchildren.
I am thankful for... spending special time with my youngest and his family this weekend!
From the kitchen... Bread in the bread machine
I am wearing... black slacks and blue apple sweatshirt.
I am reading... Crochet Today (magazine) getting ideas!
I am hoping... a job offer!!!!!!
I am creating... magnets.
I am hearing... the dog softly breathing at my feet as he sleeps.
I am going... I have gone.... to visit my daughter and granddaughter.
Around the house... kitchen counters are calling me to declutter them.
One of my favorite things... pics of my grandbabies!
A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week: visit with friends, meeting on Thursday morning.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…

Happy Mother's Day, Mom.

I had the best mother! She was so selfless and caring. I am proud of her and I am so thankful to God for giving her to me. I miss her very much. I wish I had been a better daughter. She has been the biggest blessing in my life and I am forever grateful for all that she instilled in my life. I thank God that someday, we WILL be united again.
Wishing all of my blogger friends a very Happy Mother's Day!

This is why I love Port Angeles
It was a truly perfectly beautiful day in Port Angeles yesterday. It is a day like this that makes me really miss it! This video and pics are taken from Ediz Hook (The Spit) looking back to Port Angeles. It was a warm spring day yesterday and at the Spit, there was no wind and would have been perfect for a picnic! Believe me that doesn't happen very often. It can be 70 degrees in town and you go to the Spit and you need a jacket and the wind tears right thru you! lol. My family home was on the bluffs just above the water. From my bedroom window each day I could look out on the water and the spit. I would love to watch the ships passing thru the Straits of Juan de Fuca. As a teen, when down, I would drive out to the Spit with my dog and just walk and sit and watch and listen to the waves.... nothing more peaceful! This is my dog now and my hubby. :)
