DIY day!,

Time to get started on all our DIY gal pal gifts.  Fund day making these fun DIY beauty products. All our ideas came from Hallmarks Home and Family    We both love this show and Kym Douglas is our favorite presenter.  We started out with her lip shimmer. We were afraid after mixing, that it was too dark but it is perfect!  And really lasts and moistures the lips!  Next up was our Lump of Coal face scrub.  I made these last year and they make your face feel so smooth and soft after using!  The natural honey face wash was very simple to make and it turned out wonderful! And last but not least we made clothing Ginger hand and foot polish. It smells so good we’re both very anxious to try it and to gift it!  These gifts will be nestled into colored paper shreds of red and green in a fun craft box that will tie with Christmas twine and decorate with sprigs of Christmas holly or pine. Mine will have twine angels on them that I am making. And I got the idea from Paige Hemmis on the home and family program also.

Popsicle Bird Houses

Had fun with two visiting granddaughters last week.  One craft we chose was to make lollipop birdhouses. No instructions, just our imagination!  I think the girls did a wonderful job.

Two of my grandchildren graduate this year.  Very different circumstances this year for sure!

Windy

It was however very windy in eastern Washington, but even enjoyed that.  Loved listening to the wind in the trees.  

Getting away!

Sometimes you just need to get out of the house.  Last week we took a drive over to Easter Washington an home.  Finding places open to use restrooms where we felt comfortable was a challenge, but the change of scenery was so nice. One of my favorite drives is Canyon rd between Ellensburg and Yakima.   It was fun seeing all the people social distancing on rafts and boats. Beautiful day in eastern WA but rainy in the west!
