A Simple Woman's Day book - June 28

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...It is an overcast day in the low 60s this morning.

I am thinking...about how important it is not to talk ill of others, of how even a well meaning conversation can be gossip.

I am thankful for... my husband. I am seeing him grow in the Lord lately and that brings such joy!
From the learning rooms...(if this applies)

From the kitchen...is my project to finish of reorganizing it this week!

I am wearing... I am in my teal jammies

I am creating...Bubble wands for the kids this weekend for the BBQ

I am going... to my New Representatives meeting for Avon in about 2 hours

I am reading... Captivating.... it is revealing a lot to me... difficult to read.... didn';t realize that it would be.

I am hoping... healing in my heart.... not physical healing, an emotional/spiritual healing

I am hearing...the traffic of the cars on the highway

Around the house...The flag is waving on the deck, the dog is resting at my feet, the laundry is begun...

One of my favorite things...The sounds of the birds singing!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Shop for something to wear for the 4th of July BBQ at my sons, get out my Avon books, so that I can hopefully make an income!, make bubble wands with my granddaughter, finish up the kitchen reorg, write a couple of letters/cards to encourage friends.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...(add your picture here)

3 granddaughters Birthday celebrations!

On Sunday the 23rd of May, I was able to sneak away for the day over to Port Angeles to help 3 granddaughters celebrate their birthdays! These pics are in just the opposite order that I wanted them to be... lol.. but oh well, here we go. Always fun to get together with family. My 13 year old granddaughter with her 9 month old cousin... he has the cutest head of curls!
Time to eat!

Always grandma's little princess!!
Was wonderful that my brother and his grandson, my grandnephew could join us. Jacob and my grandson, Carson are good friends, so an added bonus for them! :)
Another grandson getting tired with his cousin, one of the birthday girls!

Always my monkey!!! Love this kid!!!!! He is so much like his dad... and except for the dark hair, he really does remind me of his daddy when he was little. Miss those days!!!! lol
Finally the twins get a chance to open their presents!!!!

My brother, well maybe I used to call him my bother!

Anxiously anticipating the time to open up her goodies!

Believe me, this is the girls acting normal!!! I love them!
This was cuz mom said BEHAVE!!! hahaha A fun day. Papa Doug couldn't be there because his mom was in the hospital and he was missed. We did have a good time together, albeit tooooo short of a time! Looking forward to the next get together! LOL Blondie turned 11 and the twins turned 8!

With Loving Thoughts

It has been a rough May and June around here. Just before Mother's Day we found out that Doug's mom had a mass in her lungs. A CT scan was taken and then the Friday after Mother's day a biopsy was taken. Before the biopsy results could even make it back, she ended up in the hospital. She never made it out again and on the 26th of May, Carly Weymouth, much loved by her family passed away into the presence of our Lord. She lived a full and happy life living to be 94 1/2 years old. She is loved and she is missed! This is the last picture taken of her on Mother's day this year. She wasn't feeling well but we all were able to make it up at different times in the day to visit with her. :)

We are thankful for the time we spent with her and so thankful to Hospice who helped make the transition peaceful. Both her sons and her husband were with her at 4:25 AM when she took her last breath... Although we grieve, we know that she is in a far better place and watching down in love. Now we help George pick up the pieces and move on with his life....... We all shared some special and loving moments as we spent time with her in the hospital during the last days. One that will forever be etched in my mind was of her grandson, 40, loving feeding her ice cream. it was the last thing she ate before she faded away. It was such a tender and special memory.
